EU
Weer een uitbreiding in de planning...
Het gaat maar door. We moeten dan ook niet meer klagen dat we zoveel Oost-Europese auto's hier op de weg zien én dat Oost-Europeanen hier allerlei werk komen doen. Dat is een logische consequentie van de uitbreiding van de EU.
Zo is ook de Dienstenrichtlijn van Bolkestein straks van toepassing op de nieuwe lidstaten. Bedrijven uit bijvoorbeeld Polen, Hongarije en Tsjechië mogen hier werk aannemen. Hun personeel wordt betaald volgens de afspraken in het land van herkomst. Je kunt op je Hollandsche klompen aanvoelen dat daardoor de lonen in de rijke westerse landen onder druk komen te staan. Ik ben heel benieuwd of dat ook gaat gelden voor de top van het bedrijfsleven. Zouden de topmanagers straks hun salarissen gaan vergelijken met collega's in bijvoorbeeld Roemenië of Bulgarije... dat zijn dan toch ook gelijkwaardige EU-lidstaten? Maar die vergelijking zal wel uitsluitend voor de werknemers op de werkvloer gelden.
Ben ik tegen vrijhandel? Nee, ik ben erg voor vrijhandel. We kunnen met veel landen vrijhandelsverdragen sluiten (ook buiten Europa). Dan hebben we allemaal de handelsvoordelen terwijl er geen subsidiemachine achteraan komt, want dát is het probleem binnen de EU.
De filosofie binnen de EEG was om een transparante en open markt te realiseren, maar het is verworden tot een op hol geslagen geld-rondpomp-machine. Binnen de EU krioelen allerlei subsidies, steunprogramma's en andere oncontroleerbare geldstromen. De EU-uitgaven zijn nu al oncontroleerbaar. De moloch groeit maar door waardoor de controle nog moeilijker (lees: onuitvoerbaarder) wordt.
Het lijkt mij een goed plan om de regeringsleiders en de Europese Commissieleden eens te laten weten dat de EU-subsidiemachine straks niet tot aan Georgië of Irak hoeft te reiken... stem daarom NEE tegen de Europese grondwet!
