Defibrillator in centrum kan levens redden
Waarom niet op een paar centrale plekken in het dorp?
Vanmorgen werd het dorp weer opgeschrikt door een auto met zwaailicht en sirene. Een spoedarts uit Apeldoorn verdween met een defibrillator een winkel in. Terwijl ik bij Breadz op het terras een cappuccino dronk, vroeg ik mij af of het geen goed idee zou zijn als er in een paar strategisch gelegen winkels in Epe zo´n apparaat beschikbaar zou zijn om heel snel eerste hulp te kunnen verlenen.
Het is bekend dat de aanrijtijd vanuit Apeldoorn te lang kan zijn om een patiënt met een hartinfarct te kunnen redden. Bij een hartinfarct tellen de eerste minuten. Als er een defibrillator in de buurt beschikbaar is, kan eerste hulp worden verleend en de patiënt in afwachting van professionele hulp worden gestabiliseerd.
Het bedienen van een defibrillator is niet erg ingewikkeld. Op het apparaat staat hoe het werkt. Bij veel sportverenigingen hangt zo´n apparaat standaard in het clubhuis en wordt daar in geval van nood door vrijwilligers gebruikt. Het is toch eigenlijk merkwaardig dat in winkelcentra zulke apparatuur niet voorhanden is. In een vergrijzende samenleving kan het mensenlevens redden en het lijkt me dan ook iets voor de Ondernemersvereniging om te organiseren.
Volgens mij zou je met drie apparaten bij Albert Heijn, De Posthoorn en C1000 het hele centrum kunnen bestrijken. Voordeel is bovendien dat deze zaken ruime openingstijden hebben.
