Prijs Mepper of Prijs Nepper?

Gisteren liepen we langs de Prijsmepper. Omdat de zaak de indruk wekt erg goedkoop te zijn, gingen we even naar binnen. Daar zag Corine een spuitfles Cillit Bang. Normaal kost zo´n fles 4,99 en in deze zaak 4 euro. Omdat iedere euro toch mooi is meegenomen, sleepten we de fles mee richting de kassa.
Onderweg wees ik Corine op een doos waar het logo van Het Kruidvat op stond gedrukt. Omdat we altijd geïnteresseerd zijn in het systeem achter de gevel, vragen we bij de kassa of de zaak soms onderdeel is van die keten. Het meisje bevestigt dat ze deel uitmaken van Het Kruidvat en de Trekpleister. Onderweg filosofeerden wij over de marketingformule en opper ik de hypothese dat de Prijs Mepper wellicht de restanten van aanbiedingspartijen van Het Kruidvat van de hand doet.
Thuisgkomen draait Corine de fles om en wordt mijn hypothese pijnlijk bevestigd.
De volgende keer mijden wij de Prijs Nepper en gaan toch maar weer gewoon naar Het Kruidvat voor de echte aanbiedingen.
