Nee... ik wil geen vrienden worden!!!
Oppervlakkige Internet hype...
Gisteren lag er weer een in mijn virtuele postbus. Of ik vrienden wil worden. Het is momenteel aan de orde van de dag. Als je geen verzoeken krijgt van Linkedin, Myspace, Hyves, Netlog of joost-mag-weten-wat-voor-sites hoor je er blijkbaar niet meer bij in deze wereld.
Deze hype is erop gericht om zoveel mogelijk e-mailadressen en andere gegevens van mensen te verzamelen om zo mooie databestanden op te bouwen. Heel interessant voor de initiatiefnemers, maar wat heb je er aan als gebruiker?
Volgens mij helemaal niets. En toch rent men massaal achter deze hype aan. Ik begrijp er niets van. Wat is het waard om allerlei mensen die je nooit (meer) spreekt ineens als 'vriend' op een netwerksite te erkennen en zo elkaar gek te maken met een ratrace om zoveel mogelijk mensen aan je te binden. Gaan ze die mensen dan ineens wél spreken of zouden de deelnemers nou echt denken dat zo'n netwerk effectief is?
Ik geloof er helemaal niets van en doe er dan ook niet aan mee. Van mij zul je geen hyves-, myspace of andere pagina vinden op het net. Als ik vrienden wil hebben dan ontmoet ik wel mensen of ga met ze e-mailen, skypen of msn-en. Een beetje klinisch dood als cijfertje aan een volkomen oninteressante Internetpagina hangen, is aan mij niet besteed.
Dus nodig mij niet uit. Als je mij als vriend wil hebben, neem dan op een normale manier contact op of nog beter... kom gewoon langs.
