Zanger van Talking Heads plaatst vraagtekens bij U2
Eindelijk steekt weer eens iemand zijn vinger op om vraagtekens te zetten bij de exorbitante popconcerten. In dit geval dus de zanger van de Talking Heads. Hij vraagt zich af hoe de groteske en geldverslindende tour van U2 zich verhoudt tot het optreden van Bono inzake de armoede in Afrika. Geheel terecht. Laat ik er ook maar direct het milieugedominee van popsterren (idem Bono) aan toevoegen. Wel de mond vol over de opwarming van de aarde en de verspilling van grondstoffen, maar zelf als koningen de wereld over reizen. Hoe ongeloofwaardig kun je zijn?

Oh ja... brood en spelen. Balkenende was vandaag in Rotterdam om in een Ferrari rond te toeren. Ook zo´n verheffend voorbeeld van geloofwaardigheid. Leve het milieubeleid... van Rotterdam tot Kyoto.
