Binnenkort ga ik het assortiment van wijnhandel Euvitis fotograferen voor hun website. Daarom vandaag een uurtje gestoeid hoe je zonder vervelende reflecties en met behoud van kleur een wijnfles fotografeert. Het lijkt simpel, maar uiteindelijk is het ingewikkelder dan je denkt.
Na eindeloos schuiven en wisselen van flitsers, softboxen en locaties in de studio kwam ik bij deze opstelling uit.

Geheel in lijn met mijn uitgangspunt "less is more". Eén flitser met een beauty dish en grid zo'n beetje recht voor de fles en een flitser vrijwel onder de fles om de achterwand wit uit te lichten. De standaard opstelling om twee flitsers schuin op de achterwand te zetten werkt niet, want dan zie je die flitsers terug in de fles. Hetzelfde geldt voor twee flitsers om de fles uit te lichten. Je krijgt dan twee reflecties met schaduwen op de fles.
Nadat ik de kleine reflectie van de beauty dish in Photoshop heb weggehaald, is dit het resultaat.
Een interessante uitdaging was het zichtbaar houden van de graphic. Een bijzonder ontwerp, want die illustratie zit achterop het grote etiket achterop de fles. Die tekening zie je dus door de fles heen.
De wijn is overigens een muscat. Je denkt dan direct... zoet. Nee dus, volgens de wijnhandelaar is dit een droge muscat.
De fles staat nu op de foto en is dus verder totaal zinloos. Er zit niets anders op dan hem maar snel leeg te maken.
