Een treurig verhaal
Een ouder echtpaar (boven de tachtig) heeft contact gezocht met de Vizsla vereniging om hun anderhalf jaar oude Vizsla reu Franz Josef te herplaatsen. Door een beenbreuk van de man is het helaas niet langer mogelijk de hond de noodzakelijke verzorging te geven.
Waarom nemen mensen van boven de tachtig nog een jonge jachthond? En... nog prangender... welke fokker haalt het in zijn/haar hoofd om een hond die veel beweging nodig heeft en toch makkelijk 12 jaar kan worden, te verkopen aan een echtpaar van boven de tachtig. De kopers zijn niet goed wijs en hebben geen idee waar ze aan beginnen. De verkoper kan niet anders dan verblind zijn geweest door het geld en gaat met deze 'handel'helemaal voorbij aan én de belangen van de hond én de belangen van de koper.
Hoe dan ook... Franz Josef (alleen de naam al) heeft dringend een nieuw tehuis nodig.
Franz Josef is een verwende hond. Zo slaapt hij bij de man en vrouw in bed en ligt hij op de bank. Hij is maar beperkt uitgelaten en heeft bijna nooit losgelopen. De hond maakt een onderdanige indruk als hij met andere honden in aanraking komt en heeft een lief karakter. Een cursus en een strakke consequente (her)opvoeding zijn dan ook noodzakelijk.
Door de beenbreuk van de man kan hij de hond niet meer uitlaten. De vrouw kan deze jonge reu niet aan en daarom krijgt de hond nu nog minder beweging. Voor zowel het gezin als de hond is het van groot belang dat Frans Josef op korte termijn een goed tehuis krijgt.
