Geloofwaardigheid

Je noemt je eigen optreden eerst ongeloofwaardig en geeft jezelf een 4. Daarna start je een discussie in de eigen partij over het opheffen ervan. En tot slot haal je krachtig uit naar het kabinet, dat volgens jou een bekrompen ouderwetsheid uitstraalt, en geef je het CDA en de premier een veeg uit de pan door te zeggen dat je in de volgende periode niet meer met ze wilt regeren. Uiteraard voeg je daar wel heel snel aan toe dat je tot de verkiezingen in het kabinet blijft 'omdat er nog zoveel is te doen'.
Wat dit is? De nieuwste variant van bestuurlijke vernieuwing en de geloofwaardheid van D66.

Pechtold zegt in Twee Vandaag dat voor D66 de analyse belangrijker is dan de uiteindelijke conclusie.
Dit verklaart helemaal waarom D66 bijvoorbeeld wél tegen de uitzending van militairen naar Afganistan is en ook tegen kernenergie is, maar in de Kamer braaf het hoofd buigt voor het kabinet met een tegengesteld standpunt. We weten dan nu ook al dat die tunnel onder het Naardermeer - waar de D66-fractie zich gisteren tegen uitsprak - uiteindelijk zal leiden tot instemming van de partij. De D in de naam staat blijkbaar voor Draaikonten.
